Most of the electronic monographs published on this website are in PDF format and have been created using various versions of the Adobe Acrobat software. In order to view them, you need to have the Acrobat Reader. If you don't have the Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, you can download it here.
The sizes of most of the documents range from 1 to 3 MB, but in some cases may be as high as 10 MB. Please allow the loading to complete. Once the entire document has been loaded into your browser, we recommend that if you intend to view the document repeatedly, or want to peruse it at your leisure, you should save it to your local disk. This way you can access it locally, which is faster and more reliable. To save the document after it has been loaded into your browser, click on the "Save" button on the top navigation strip of the Acrobat Reader (not the Web browser); this button has an icon that depicts a floppy disk. After the document has been saved, you can also print it on your local printer or take it to a print shop to produce a bound color copy.
In some versions of Internet Explorer, when you save a PDF file to your local disk, the browser displays the message "Disk is full" if the file name that you have specified for the target file on your local disk is longer than 8 characters. If this happens (even though your disk is not full) simply repeat the "Save" operation and specify a shorter file name.
When you are ordering any of the Akronos publications, your browser must be set up to accept cookies. In Internet Explorer, acceptance of cookies is accomplished through enabling Tools/Internet Options/Security/Custom Level/Cookies. In Netscape, it is controlled by one of the entries in the Preferences menu.
Please do not order publications from two browser windows at once. The ordering system is not set up to handle that, and it may result in intermittent errors which will make your invoice incorrect.
If you experience any difficulties accessing or downloading any of the publications on these pages, please contact webmaster@aetherometry.com. If you have any trouble with ordering our publications, contact orders@aetherometry.com.
