ABSTRACT In search of a measure relating distance and time across the cosmic vastness, the authors put forth the notion that the speed of light cannot, and does not, serve as such a yardstick. They sharpen their novel interpretation of the Bradley aberration of stars as applied to "light from the Sun", that makes the aberration dependent on the velocity of star-emitted modal ambipolar waves, and thus a variable that tallies with the electromagnetic spectrum of a star, barring necessary interpretation of any red or blue shifts that would be present. The authors had previously put forth this proposal, but presently correct it.
